Columbia Heights, Washington DC site: Youth Education (elementary/k-5)
Volunteer hours: Monday-Thursday 4-6p, Saturday 10a-12p

Calvary Women's Service
Calvary Women's Services is a nonprofit organization in Washington, DC, that provides housing and support services to homeless women. Calvary's mission is two-fold: To provide homeless women with a place to live and basic services and to help educate and empower women for independent living.

Volunteers will be doing over night stays at the shelter in order help out full-time staff and help to set up breakfast for the women in the morning. This is NOT limited to women volunteers!

Bread For the City
The mission of Bread for the City is to provide vulnerable residents of Washington, DC, with comprehensive services, including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services, in an atmosphere of dignity and respect.

Volunteers will be working one-on-one with DC residents helping to find affordable housing.

Volunteers will be helping to pull invasive species as well as doing trash pick-ups. This will be done on a bi-weekly basis. Once a month we will be heading to the Masterpeace Community Garden in Riverdale, MD with the Engaged University.
