Service Opportunities that Benefit
THE ELDERLY
Simply through listening and interacting, college students can seek to better the lives of the elderly. Eager to share their life stories, wisdom, and vast experiences, senior citizens of all areas can benefit from basic interaction. You can make a difference in someone’s world by helping out at a nursing home or senior center. There are nursing or retirement homes in almost every community, and there are probably elderly adults living in your neighborhood who may want a helping hand or a smiling companion. Here are some organizations that work with the elderly.
