There are a wide range of opportunities
in the field of health care: working directly with patients,
on health promotion projects with HMO’s and pharmaceutical
companies, and as health educators on topics like nutrition,
parenting, and disease. You may also serve in government, advocate
on behalf of health issues, or conduct research on various health
problems and initiatives. The following are a few agencies that
serve the health care needs of people in the D.C., Maryland,
and Northern Virginia areas. You can get hands-on experience
in the health professions and make a difference in the lives
of others!
Note: Check out our handout on local area hospitals as well!
